Kitchen​

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. Catering standard crockery, glasses, cups, tea towels etc are provided. The electric oven has four hobs a fan oven, grill and a top oven. There is a microwave oven, a dishwasher, washing machibe, fridge/freezer and a toaster.

Dining Room

Opposite the kitchen door is the dining area. The round table is collapsible. There are six dining places available.

Lounge

The lounge area has a comfortable settee for three adult people and two arm chairs. There is a TV with remote control and CD player and radio.

Laundry
 

There is an automatic washing machine available in the kitchen. A drying room with a tumbler dryers is available on the ground floor. The tumbler dryers take 50p pieces. Drying rails are provided in the apartment.

Bathroom​

The bathroom has a bath, shower, toilet, sink and a heated towel rail. Also provided are towels and a hair dryer. 

Dimensions

The apartment is 2052 sq ft and has an open plan lounge and dining area, 795cm by 460cm. The door from the kitchen to the lounge / dining room is 75cm wide by 198cm high.

  • Approximately 5 minutes walk from Windermere railway station and the bus stop.

  • The beautiful lakeland scenery made famous by amongst others the poet William Wordsworth, and the  sketch artist/writer/walker A Waniwright.

  • Other attractions include the Aquarium, South Lakes Zoo, the Beatrice Potter Centre, angling and outdoor adventure centres.

  • From the South

    Leave the M6 at exit 36 and proceed along the A591 to Windermere. Upon entering Windermere drive past the Nat West Bank building and turn left onto Ellery Road. Drive along Ellery Road for about 170 yards and then turn right onto College Road.
     

  • From the North

    The shortest mileage wise and also a nice scenic route. (not recommended in winter conditions: use M6 junction 36). Leave the M6 at exit 40. Take the A66 heading west and then the A592 south. Continue along the A592 driving alongside Ullswater and over Kirkstone pass for about 23 miles then turn left onto the A591. Drive along the A591 for approximately 0.6 miles and then turn right onto Ellery Road. Drive along Ellery Road for about 170 yards and then turn right onto College Road
     

  • The flat is only 4/5 minutes walk from Windermere railway station.

  • Howgill Apartment is located on the second floor of Cumbria Court, College Road Windermere. Cumbria Court was built in 1982.

  • The nearest bus stop is 50m away. Windermere railway station is 400m away.

  • The apartment has a sheltered car port. Security gates have been installed and upon arrival you will be provided with keys and a FOB device to operate the security gates enabling access to the off-road car port.
