Living in a country like Nicaragua teaches me patience.
Nicaragua teaches me to slow down and enjoy the moment.
Nicaragua teaches me that everything is not going to go as planned and that’s ok.
Nicaragua teaches me that being too attached to expectations causes suffering.
Nicaragua teaches me to adapt and go with the flow. Life is not about what happens to you, but how you respond to it.
Nicaragua teaches me to stay present and absorb all the beauty that surrounds me.
Nicaragua has shown me that spending time in nature will reveal many life secrets if you pay attention.
Nicaragua reminds me that I live a blessed life and to always be appreciative.
Nicaragua reminds me to be greatful for all the things we tend to take for granted: a roof over our heads, a roof without holes, electricity, running water, drinking water, internet, fast internet, a nice toilet to sit on, toilet paper, a proper bed, the choice to choose what foods I want to eat.
Nicaragua teaches me that true happiness does not come from things or people…it comes from self improvement.
Nicaragua reminds me of how far I’ve come, and where I am going.
Nicaragua reminds me what is truly important, and that is living life to the fullest….consciously, mindfully, respectfully.
And I always take these lessons that I learn from Nicaragua, & carry them in my heart, on all my travels around the world.
Living in Nicaragua continues to be one of my greatest teachers.
