Gracious Living Cacao Protein Detox Elixir

A very popular energizing detox elixir at the recent Gracious Living Lifestyle Detox Retreat in the Bahamas with 21 students from around the world.

(Next 7 Day Gracious Living Lifestyle Detox Retreat is in gorgeous Nicaragua Nov 28-Dec 5, 2015 with Ergogenics Nutrition Ambassador Grace Van Berkum and Superfood Nutrition Guru Ronnie Landis. Click HERE.)

This recipe is very powerful, energizing, and cleansing. Ka-pow! Don’t drink too much! I serve it as a shot or 1/2 cup serving max.

In blender: (Depending on the size of your blender, this will be about 6-10 servings. You can store in fridge for use throughout the week. Make sure to shake up before serving.)

1 scoop of Ergogenics Organic Whole Greens Hemp Protein Powder (Contains detoxifying green sea veggies that is excellent for thyroid and metabolism) Get 10% off HERE.

1 tbsp raw cacao. (High in magnesium and anti-oxidants). Get 15% off HERE.

2 tbsp of liver-cleansing dandelion powder (I use DandyBlend for best taste ) Get 10% off HERE.

1 tbsp maca powder. (Maca powder helps to reduce stress, balance the hormones, and energize the body). Get 15% off HERE.

1 tbsp lucuma powder (low glycemic, high antioxidant sweetener) Get 15% off HERE.

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (thermogenic, fat-burning)

1/2 tsp cinnamon (Ceylon cinnamon recommended, magnesium rich)

2-3 cups of water

Blend and serve as a shot or half cup portion.

If I don’t have time to blend, I put a little bit of each powder in a mason jar and bring it with me on my travels. When ready, I simply add water, shake it up, and sip for energy!

Variations:

*Add 1 drop of “DoTerra Slim & Sassy” (1 drop only! It is very strong. Also, do not use essential oils that are not food-grade or you can get sick! DoTerra offers food-grade essential oils).

*You can add ice and a tad more natural sweetener for a yummy plant powered, detox smoothie.

*Heat up some unsweetened coconut milk and add it to the detox elixir, then top with goji berries for a delicious, warm, cleansing, energizing drink. Click HERE for more recipes.
